Mahalo - The new search engine powered by people.
Isn’t it a little to late to get into search? Well major VC’s such as Seqoia does not seem to think so. They are heavily backing this project lead by Jason Calacanis, co-funder of Weblogs that sold to AOL.
I like the UI and the presentaion of information is very user friendly. Mainstream users will definitly welcome this compared to Google’s sometimes hard to gage results.
Will it succeed? With enough money and good management that makes sure that results get “humanized” as quickly as possible I think it can. I’m not sure if the feat to make it right is to big to overcome, time will tell.
